The COA check

The claim: “Every product is third-party tested for purity, potency, and peace of mind.” Note the middle word doing real work — purity. That phrasing gestures at full-panel testing (pesticides, heavy metals, microbials), not just potency numbers, and a dedicated lab-reports page exists to back it. What the storefront copy does not do is name the laboratories — “independent labs” is the only attribution we found — which converts the claim from checkable to claimed. The drill is the usual one and takes two minutes per product: open the lab report for your specific listing, read the laboratory name off the letterhead, verify ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, and confirm the report carries a batch identifier and a test date consistent with current stock, not a harvest from two owners ago.

Batch matching: not demonstrated at the surface. Listing cards do not display batch numbers alongside prices in the copy we analyzed. For a multi-brand curator this matters more than for a single-farm store — inventory turns over across suppliers, and yesterday's clean COA can outlive the batch it described. Ask which batch is shipping if the report you open predates the season.

The math, and the required honesty. A $25 eighth at, say, 24% THCA is carrying roughly 21% total THC — the formula, always, is total THC = THCA × 0.877 + delta-9. THCA converts to THC when heated. It is intoxicating in the same class as dispensary flower, and it will show on a drug test the way dispensary cannabis does. A retailer with physical stores and a friendly sampler program can make this category feel like buying coffee beans; the chemistry has not agreed to that framing.

Computed from published prices at analysis time:

One editorial eyebrow: a $102 chocolate bar “on sale” for $34 is anchor pricing, a retail tactic that tells you to evaluate every strikethrough on the site as decoration rather than data.

Shipping & legality

Now the section where Perfect Plant distinguishes itself. The published policy: THC edibles ship to most states; THCA products do not ship to Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont. Fifteen states. That is the longest THCA exclusion list we have audited — most competitors publish five states or none — and it contains the single most credible line item we have seen on any shipping page: Tennessee. A Nashville company that will sell you flower over its own counters but will not mail THCA within its home state is a company whose lawyers have read Tennessee's recent tightening of hemp rules and reacted like professionals. Believe it — and still don't mistake it for the map. Fifteen states is more honest than five and it remains short of reality: as of August 2026, by our statute-by-statute count, THCA flower is cleanly legal under state law in exactly five states — North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Maine — banned in thirty-six, and gray in ten.
