Cutting Agents & Additives
Cutting agents are diluents that thin or stretch vape oil — historically PG, VG, MCT oil, and in the worst episode, vitamin E acetate, the additive strongly linked to the 2019 vape-injury outbreak. The legitimate version of “additives” is terpenes added for flavor. The line between the two is disclosure and testing: a trustworthy cart lists what is in the oil and backs it with a COA that includes an additive or full-panel screen. An oil sold on potency alone, with no statement about what else is in the chamber, is asking for trust the category has not earned.
