What is the difference between THCA and Delta-8?
THCA is the natural precursor to Δ9 THC — flower rich in it delivers ordinary THC when heated. Delta-8 is a different, mildly weaker THC isomer, typically synthesized from CBD and sprayed onto flower or blended into products, since plants produce very little of it naturally. Practical differences: THCA flower is unaltered plant material with conversion chemistry; Delta-8 flower is a manufactured coating whose quality depends on conversion cleanliness — which makes full-panel COAs (checking for reaction byproducts) more important there, not less. Both are intoxicating; both sit inside the November 2026 federal ban.
