Is THCA flower the same as regular cannabis?

Chemically, once heated — essentially yes. High-THCA hemp flower and dispensary flower are the same plant; the difference is a legal test. Hemp must sit at or under 0.3% Δ9 THC dry weight, and THCA-rich flower passes that specific test while converting to THC when you light it. What can differ in practice: regulation depth (state cannabis programs mandate testing; hemp testing is vendor-driven, which is why COAs matter so much here), price (hemp routes often undercut dispensary pricing), and legal exposure, which depends entirely on your state. The experience itself is not the differentiator.
